The Great Comet of 2007

It's amazing - I have never seen anything like this comet before. Not only that, but for the first time in my life I have a camera and tripod, so I have been able to take good pictures of it.

I had the opportunity to take photos on two consecutive nights, and hope to have more chances as the weeks progress.

First entry

I'm not at all sure what I'm going to do with this blog. For now, I want to use it as a convenient site for my NYE 06/07 pictures, for those who hang out on similar forums to mine. I'll decide if I'll do anything else with it later. :)

(The theme this year was "The Emerald City").

The Parade of lights in the harbour; various boats and ships were lit up, and sailed up and down the harbour, creating a truly amazing spectacle.

How do you photograph a 10 minute firework display? This shoddy effort is the best I could do, but didn't do it justice at all. There were several sites all down the Harbour, and they were all coordinated together. Incredible, and they do this every year!
